Free.

You are Free to...

Laugh.

After the Storm.

After the storm...
Outside; the wind, the rain, and the thunder,
I have found sunshine.
After the storm...
Within me; my heart, my mind and my soul,
I have found peace.
-Lissa Jenat

Sing to the Lord with grateful praise; make music to our God on the harp. He covers the sky with clouds; He supplies the earth with rain and makes grass grow on the hills.
Psalm 147:7-9

"Indeed the very hairs on your head are numbered.
Don't be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows."
Luke 12:7

For great is your love, reaching to the heavens; your faithfulness reaches to the skies.
Psalm 57:10

"Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?"
Matthew 6:26

"You're the sunshine in the rain, you're purpose in the pain."

Pray for Haiti and Its people.

Psalm 10:12,14,17

Arise, LORD! Lift up your hand, O God.
Do not forget the helpless. But you, God, see the trouble of the afflicted; you consider their grief and take it in hand. The victims commit themselves to you; you are the helper of the fatherless. You, LORD, hear the desire of the afflicted; you encourage them, and you listen to their cry..

Lis and Jenn

When we honestly ask ourselves which person in our lives mean the most to us, we often find that it is those who, instead of giving advice, solutions, or cures, have chosen rather to share our pain and touch our wounds with a warm and tender hand. The friend who can be silent with us in a moment of despair or confusion, who can stay with us in an hour of grief and bereavement, who can tolerate not knowing, not curing, not healing and face with us the reality of our powerlessness, that is a friend who cares. -Henri Nouwen

Hello 2010

My Daddy made an interesting point this morning as we were eating our New Years morning pancakes and french toast. It is something that undoubtedly has been repeated over and over, but this time it really hit home for me, so I thought I would share.
Stop and consider this for a moment.

Each day is a blessing from God. Whether it is a day of absolute joy or absolute sadness and pain, each and every day is a blessing from God.

I guess a statement like this needs to be repeated over and over sometimes. Maybe after hearing it over and over and over, a difference will be made. A life will be changed. A simple point of view made anew. Goodbye 2009, and thank you.
Hello 2010

Psalm 118:24
This is the day the LORD has made;
let us rejoice and be glad in it.
